Shore Gore
This one came to me through Valentino Dors once again, and he needed someone to really feel the film, not just clean it up. It was a horror short, so the sound had to breathe, creep, and sit in your chest a little. I handled the post-audio top to bottom—dialogue, texture, little sonic moments that make silence scary—but what stuck with me was how much trust was involved. I even ended up running prosthetics across state lines for the shoot, which was wild and low-key poetic in a “whatever it takes for the film” kind of way. Seeing it go on to place at festivals just confirmed what I already believe: when the sound is right, the whole film moves better.

The Situation & The Goal
